
Branding a JV: Strategy & design for capital projects
Three civil engineering giants – Ferrovial, BAM Nutall and Morgan Sindall – formed a JV to compete for the massive HS2 rail project in the UK. My job was to create a brand for the JV. For this, I designed and led numerous brand workshops to create brand positioning, values and messaging that would align with HS2. I then created the brand strategy and was the creative director for the brand visual identity – frequently travelling to Birmingham to sell it all in.
They won a big chunk of business (I found out the night I collected a branding award for another client – great night. I think.)
My role was pitch direction, content and delivery, brand & creative strategy, insight workshop design and facilitation, creative direction, photography art direction and copy concept/copywriting. I worked with a small team to implement and roll-out.
