Control Risks is a global risk and strategic consulting firm that specializes in political, security and integrity risk assessments. Control Risks is on top of a volatile world picture, and partners global organisations in risk mitigation and management. Every year they publish the Risk Map – a global analysis accessed via a multichannel campaign, digital tools and consultancy. I was asked to develop the creative strategy, creative and art direction for the campaign, and implement hands-on design and delivery working alongside a small global, matrixed team – and managing multiple global stakeholders. The chosen design was built on a pentagon, reflecting their five main risk focuses; the shape acting as a focal point and lending itself to multiple, flexible applications across print, digital, motion, environmental and experiential. High contrast black and white photography created an analytical, journalistic feel and helped unify art-directed images with documentary footage. The project launched globally to great success. Having worked extensively with UK Government I’m particularly interested in behvaiour change and communication around risk, security and resilience.

As with much of my work, the campaign extended to motion idents – I have a range of motion work to share which I have designed, scripted, art-directed and storyboarded (please ask). These examples were in the public domain.
